Interim Liberal Leader Bob Rae tours Six Nations of the Grand River
10/28/11 –Interim Federal Liberal Leader Bob Rae visited Six Nations of the Grand for a brief information tour. He was joined by the Honourable Carolyn Bennett who is the Liberal Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Critic. Liberal MP Kirsty Duncan also took part in the day’s events.

Before the tour began, the political guests enjoyed light refreshments at a meet and greet event. Mr. Rae and MPs Bennett and Duncan listened to the Global Solution presentation made by land rights expert Phil Montour. This includes details of land rights and outright theft of Six Nations funds. The goal is securing revenue for the perpetual care and maintenance of Six Nations people.

Council members took the Liberal leader and the MPs to Six Nations Polytechnic, White Pines Wellness Centre and Woodland Cultural Centre.

Council members, Mr. Rae and MPs Bennett and Duncan enjoyed a traditional catered lunch at the Woodland Cultural Centre in Brantford.
