The Holiday Season: A Time for Giving and Sharing
|
|
12/13/11 – On the mezzanine of the Iroquois Lodge, Grace Buck was just one of the recipients of a handmade quilted blanket from Hamilton’s St. John United Church.
Church representatives Marla Meir, Linda Hutchison and Rev. Glen Wells presented 50 handmade quilted blankets crafted by the ladies of St. John United Church.
As the party made its way into Iroquois Lodge, these visitors were greeted by residents. Much to their delight, residents were invited to choose their own quilts. Grace Buck chose a quilt with blue noting that this is her favourite colour.
Lodge residents were amazed with the craftsmanship of their special gifts. Each quilt has its own special name adding to the love and hours of dedication gone into making every single one of them.
