2015 Solidarity Day Celebration

06/21/14 Each year June 21st Six Nations of the Grand River celebrates what is fast becoming a signature event complete with Family, Food, Music and Fun a.k.a. Solidarity Day. This day to get together with family and friends to visit with one another is steadily growing bigger each year and even has a feel similar to another signature event on Six Nations which is Bread and Cheese.

This year's celebration was a tremendous success as the public embraced the New Menu, not to mention a special Father's Day raffle ticket prize draw was held in honour of Father's Day.

"Solidarity Day" is a day for all First Nations country-wide to stand and celebrate and show pride as one. This year entertainment featured a concert of Country, Rock, Rythm & Blues and for the adventurous an open Karaoke Hour.

"National Aboriginal Day" was declared by the Governor General of Canada, on June 13, 1996, as this is the 19th Year celebration on Six Nations of the Grand River. Planning is in the works for next year's festivities.

Crowd estimates for this years Celebrations numbered in the thousands.
