Chief Montour and Mike Reinders toast to the Six Nations Water Plant

Open House attracts community members to the new Water Treatment Plant

11/08/13 - On November 8, 2013, the water treatment plant ad hoc committee welcomed community members and Council employees for a tour of the new ‘state of the art’ water treatment facility.

The plant is coming closer to its grand opening early in the coming year. Treatment continues through the system resulting in fresh and safe drinking water.

Chief William Montour acknowledged the role Maple Reinders for their part in turning a gravel field into a state of the art facility. It is important to note that K.L.Martin of First Nations Engineering Services Ltd was also part of making this long awaited plant that serves up clean water.

Over the horizon, the finish line will be in sight as final details are worked out. When construction is finished, the plant will be operating and ribbons will be cut.
