COMMUNITY UPDATE: CONTINUED CLOSURE OF GANE YOHS HEALTH CENTRE BUILDING – May 17, 2024 Update
OHSWEKEN, ON – Due to health and safety concerns, the Gane’ Yohs Health Centre remains closed until further notice. The closure does not impact the Ohsweken Pharmasave. However, Six Nations Mental Health will be closed as of today (Friday, May 17, 2024), and reopen on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. There will be no service interruption. For more information related to Mental Health services, please contact (519) 445-2143. Six Nations of the Grand River Elected Council (SNGREC) continues the inspections and remediation efforts.
The following services are operating at White Pines Wellness Centre, located at 1745 Chiefswood Road. This may lead to longer wait times for services, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.
- Ohsweken Lab & Gane’ Yohs Medical Clinic
o Lab services are from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. Parking is in the rear lot, and the reception area is on the main floor.
o Those seeking info about lab services, or medical clinic patients can call (519) 445-2251. - Internal Medicine Rapid Access Clinic (IMRAC)
o For further information on the IMRAC Clinic, call (519) 445-4019. - Public Health & Sexual Health Clinic
o Both services are open from 8:30 – 4:00 pm and can be reached at (519) 761-9053.
The Dental Clinic remains closed until further notice. Dental patients can contact (519) 717-6456 for direction and support.
The re-launching of Gane’ Yohs services are subject to change, and we will continue to update the community as plans develop. Gane’ Yohs patients can contact Six Nations Public Health at (519) 761-9058 from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm for more information.
