OHSWEKEN, ON (November 14, 2024) – Six Nations of the Grand River learns that Little Treasures Daycare will be closing its doors on Friday, November 15, 2024.

The decision to close this private daycare impacts numerous families who depend on Little Treasures Daycare for quality childcare. Six Nations of the Grand River is aware of the challenges that a sudden loss of daycare will have on families and children.

In light of the closure, families needing childcare are encouraged to put their names on the community’s childcare waitlist. Applications are available through Six Nations Child Care Services, who can be reached at 519-445-4411. Additionally, families may also explore potential financial support options under Jordan’s Principle 855-572-4453 to assist with individual daycare costs during this time.

We recognize that the well-being and development of our youngest community members is essential. We would also like to thank Little Treasures and its staff for the years they provided childcare to our community.
