COMMUNITY NOTICE: WATERMAIN BREAK REPAIRS ON CHIEFSWOOD ROAD & 5TH LINE

OHSWEKEN, ON (Jan. 22, 2025) – The Six Nations of the Grand River (SNGR) Water Department has reported two watermain breaks that require immediate repair. As a result, there will be no water service on Chiefswood Road between 5th and 6th Line and on 5th Line from Chiefswood Road and 1983 5th Line this evening. We anticipate the disruption will continue tomorrow morning as our dedicated team works diligently to complete these emergency repairs. Additionally, the Truckfill will be out of service to conserve water storage during this time.

Please be advised that traffic will be reduced to one lane in the affected areas. We recommend allowing extra travel time and exercising caution while driving through these zones to ensure everyone’s safety. The SNGR Public Works Department will notify affected households and businesses via a letter. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding.
