OHSWEKEN, ON (Feb. 5, 2025) – On January 25th, 2025, Chief Sherri-Lyn Hill received notice from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) that there will be increased border patrols. These patrols will be based on both land and air.
A Black Hawk helicopter with the RCMP logo will be utilized for air patrols. If you see this helicopter, it does NOT mean a specific threat or danger exists in the area. These additional measures are a commitment to serving and protecting everyone and securing the borders from inbound and outbound criminal threats between Canada and the United States.
