AUG 15, 2024 – OHSWEKEN, ON – (COMMUNITY UPDATE: GANE’ YOHS SERVICES AT WHITE PINES WELLNESS CENTRE UPDATE) Gane’ Yoh’s services are still operating at the White Pines Wellness Centre. Six Nations of the Grand River continues to meet with Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) regarding further environmental and structural assessments of the Gane’ Yohs building to determine the next steps.
These are the latest updates for September and October 2024:
Dental Services is developing a mobile dental clinic that will be located outside of the White Pines Wellness Centre and is scheduled to open to the community on September 3, 2024.
The elevator at White Pines Wellness Centre will be upgraded in early October. As a result, elevator access will be limited during October.
Community Members with accessibility challenges should arrange for additional support from family, friends, or staff in navigating stair climbing should their service provider not be able to relocate to the main floor. We are also exploring additional options to minimize the impact this poses to community members and will share more information as it becomes available.
