First Nations Drinking Water Settlement Information for Six Nations of the Grand River
Six Nations of the Grand River wants all Six Nations community members informed about the First Nations Drinking Water Settlement.
About the First Nations Drinking Water Settlement:
The settlement is a lawsuit between Canada and certain First Nations and their members. It addresses Canada’s failure to take all reasonable steps to ensure that First Nations communities have adequate access to clean, safe drinking water.
Claims are not limited to one per household, all individuals in the household can submit a claim.

How to get a claim form:
Individuals can apply by submitting a claim form. Claim forms can be found at firstnationsdrinkingwater.ca or at Central
Administration (1695 Chiefswood Road).
Eligibility:
- Anyone who was under a drinking water advisory that lasted at least one year between November 20, 1995 and June 20, 2021.
